Tapas are lovely little plates full of Spanish flavor, which can be served as an appetizer to the main course or (with a wider selection) provide the complete meal ... either way, they are delicious and fun!
Ranging from hearty dishes like the Chorizos al Vino (Chorizo Sausages in Wine - pictured) or a bowl of Potaje (a hearty stew of garbanzos with spinach) to lighter fare like Stuffed Endivias (Stuffed Endive Leaves), Casa Núñez can customize a tapas menu with your taste and occasion in mind. In addition to those examples, we also regularly prepare:
Pinchos (a variety of skewered meats, poultry, or seafood)
Tortilla Española (traditional Spanish tortilla)
Gazpacho or Ajo Blanco (cold soups - in season)
Albondigas (Spanish meatballs in a variety of sauces ... but the Almond and Romesco is our best!)
Ceviche (citrus-cured fish with fresh vegetables and herbs)
Champiñones al Los Cuchilleros (mushrooms grilled the way they are served near Madrid's Plaza Mayor)
Patatas Bravas (spicy potatoes) or Alioli (with garlicky mayonnaise)
Piquillos (slightly spicy red peppers stuffed with tuna, sausage, or other fillings)
Grilled Asparagus
Gambas al Ajillo (traditional spicy shrimp with garlic)
